Deconstructing Democracy

IN THE NAME OF GOD

The people had heard his messages
and sought to answer his call,
So they crucified him for teaching love
and reaching out to all.

And the Rulers, they kept on ruling.
Their games, they still played on.
Their warriors had assured them all
their wars could still be won.

So they formed some new religions,
carefully editing all His words,
they found many hidden meanings
in stories they had never heard.

They carefully defined all the evil
defining what good was to be done.
and they allowed their flocks to love or hate,
determining who should be dead and gone.

And the followers, they still followed.
It was not for them to say.
They loyally studied all the words
Letting the meanings slip away.

And now they offer such fine rewards.
Send us money! We all shall gain!
Accept our sacred words and thoughts
so He will not have died in vain.

Sorting It All Out

THE POWER OF FEAR

Fear the smart and fear the woke
but mostly fear the blacks.
Ignore their pleas for fair and just,
They’re responsible for all they lack.

Fear the immigrants and fear the strange
they’re hiding everywhere.
Don’t trust anything that they might say.
They’re totally deranged.

Fear the good because it was never good!
And science, It’s just all fake.
Fear the law and any government
everyone’s on the take.

Fear most the ones who disagree.
The media are all such fakes.
Ignore them all, Just listen to me!
I never make mistakes!

and Everything has gone to Hell!
The people are going berserk!
But listen to me and I’ll make sure
you’re safe from all those jerks!

And remember this, I know it ALL!
THEY will learn to fear ME most
cause only I tell the real truth
and I would never lie or boast.

The Politician

SPEED LIMIT

Randy was a speed freak.
His wired brain had sprung a leek.
His paranoia had completely
double timed.

He pulled his gun on Mary Lyn
just because she was mad at him.
He left his mind, blinked
and shot her dead!
